Banana Economy II

It recently occurred to me that two unfortunate and worrying facts have combined into one rather silly one:

1. australian banana prices are still suffering from the aftermath of cyclone Larry ($15/kg)
2. australian oil prices are still suffering from the aftermath of 'shock and awe' ($1.35/litre)

Which suggests that one litre of petrol is currently worth about one banana!

(What this forebodes for the up and coming biodiesel industry is anyone's guess!)
