...and the Beanstalk

A bit of synchronicity.

Remember the tale of Jack and the Beanstalk? About a young lad who climbs a legume of unlikely proportions into the sky?

Little Missy has been wanting to try growing a vegetable patch for a while now. Not that she's too sure what a vegetable patch is yet! Still, she's eager to try.

So, the other day, I set aside a section of the weedpatch, and started planting a row of beans.

Coincidentally, I read on worldchanging that LiftPort has just achieved a milestone: the successful 1000' ascent of a ribbon crawler to a balloon. (see photos here)

OK! OK! So it's about 0.001% of the distance to geostationary orbit!

Nevertheless, I find it neat that two sets of beanstalks have started growing...
